BOB SEMERANO, CO-FOUNDER & OWNER

Bob played 4 seasons of Professional Baseball (Pittsburgh Pirates 1975-1977 & Newburgh Night Hawks 1995). Bob also participated in Spring Training 1978 with the Pittsburgh Pirates & was personally invited by George M. Steinbrenner to compete for a job with the New York Yankees in Spring Training 1979. During his professional tenure in the Pirates Organization, he sported a fastball that was clocked at 100 MPH.

Bob’s love for the game and ageless talent allowed him to come back at the age of 39 to pitch for the Night Hawks of the Independent Northeast Professional Baseball League. The following summer, at the age of 40, Bob was clocked in an amateur league game at 91 MPH. Prior to playing professionally, he earned Region 15 Player of the Year honors as a Collegiate Freshman third basemen. In 1989, Bob had the distinction of being the 1st player ever inducted into the Neil B. Turfler Softball Hall of Fame. He has trained baseball & softball players from the tee ball to Professional ranks for over 45 Years.

With a fastball that has been clocked at 99 MPH, Rob has played as high as Double-A with Major League affiliates & played with the Bluefish & Riversharks in the Triple-A equivalent Independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Prior to his professional playing career, Rob batted .600 as a High School Junior, earning him a full-scholarship to Fordham University where he played short stop and pitched.  He has trained baseball & softball players from the tee ball to Professional ranks for over 20 years.

In 2007, Rob was hired by the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan to advise and help structure their pitching biomechanics program. The hospital uses his pitching mechanics as the template for other players.  Rob was also a guest speaker on the topic of pitching biomechanics at multiple Hospital for Special Surgery Overhand Throwing Athlete Symposiums.  He has also conducted several seminars, workshops & coaches' clinics for students, parents, players & coaches from the tee ball to collegiate levels.

Rob’s eternal drive for throwing a baseball hard led him to create and become a subsequent student of Big League Talent’s Semerano Power-Arm Program. At the age of 34, Rob was clocked throwing a 2 oz baseball 109 MPH!

In 2018, at the age of 36, he was invited by the Yankees to pitch in 2 exhibition games against the Japanese National Team. Rob had 2 great outings. His second and final outing concluded with him striking out 4 batters in 2 innings, including striking out his final batter he would face with a 95 MPH fastball.
